Important information regarding your trip


Reservation and Cancellation Policies

Reservation for the trip is Confirmed upon receipt of Deposit per person (as stated in previous page. This can be done by PayPal. To Cancel the trip, if requested in writing 61 days or more before the start date, you will receive half of the deposit per person. No Deposit refund, if cancellation is made 60 days or less before the trip start.

Final payment of the trip should be made at least 60 days before start date. Full payment should accompany reservations made less than 45 days before departure. Our Trip prices assumes that final payment is made by cash, personal or corporate check, or money order, and that we are able to clear funds into our bank account, before trip starts.

Any other final balance payment method will result in a 5% additional processing fee. Any fee required by the bank, for example to make a wire transfer, needs to be paid by the customer. If cancelling the trip 15 days or less before the trip, you will receive 50% of the trip price, assuming that at this time you have already paid the full amount of your trip.

Our preferred payment method for the balance is in Cash at your arrival.

Changes in Itinerary after Trip Confirmed

While Outdoor Adventures always strives to be accommodating, changes in hotel arrangements and activities are usually impossible to make once a trip has been confirmed.

Upgrades and/or changes are sometimes available at extra cost. Before placing your deposit for the proposed itinerary, please speak with Outdoor Adventures if you have concerns about anything related with the trip.

Insurance

You must have your own Travel Insurance that covers Adventure Activities for your trip to Costa Rica with Outdoor Adventures. Also include: theft, trip cancellation, and emergency medical attention. Travel Insurance is Mandatory and you need to send the insurance information before your trip.

Notes

  1. Only selected meals from the menu, in certain price range are included with this price, as well as one non-alcoholic drink. Alcoholic beverages as well as any extras are the sole responsibility of the client.
  2. There are NOT REFUNDS on unused portions of the tour, lodging, meals and/or activities, or because the client wants and/or needs to finish the trip before it was planned.

Other Circumstances

It is agreed that Outdoor Adventures SA will be relieved of its obligations in the event of acts of God, fire, flood, strike lockout, order of government authorities or any reasonable circumstances beyond its control. This tour can be modified or cancelled for safety reasons at any time. All clients requires to follow the safety rules. Anyone, not following this rules and recommendations will be separated from the tour, without any responsibility from Outdoor Adventures or other providers. No refunds apply for any of these situations.


Informed Consent - Liability Release

Please acknowledge that while Outdoor Adventures SA strives to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, participating in any outdoor and/or adventure activities can be dangerous. Such activities pose a risk of emotional or physical injury, including the possibility of serious bodily injury or death.

I need to accept and understand that adventure activities exposes me to many hazards. Some of the dangers and risks that may be present or include but are not limited to the following:

  • The physical exertion associated with adventure activities and the potential injuries associated with such exertion and activities.
  • Hiking or walking on rugged terrain including slippery rocks, mud or steep trails.
  • Climbing, Rappelling, Rappelling down canyon walls using ropes, harnesses and all specific gear needed to perform this activity.
  • Water hazards including boulders, waterfalls, fallen trees and other water obstructions.
  • Tropical diseases and Injuries inflicted by animals, insects or plants. Accidents or illness in remote places without medical facilities.
  • Travel in a vehicle not driven by you, including over tough and unpredictable terrain.

I understand that there are risks associated with outdoor activities, which include, but are not limited to: severe sunburn, dehydration, heat stroke, hypothermia, lightning strike, animal attack, drowning, and injuries caused by terrain, facilities, equipment, or other people. I voluntarily accept these risks along with any and all similar risks.

I understand that each activity I am about to participate in poses unique risks inherent to each activity. Such activities pose a risk of emotional or physical injury, including the possibility of serious bodily injury or death.

I acknowledge that the above risks are inherent to any adventure activities, even in a remote location or jungle environment. And that the enjoyment and excitement of these activities derives in part from taking such risks.

I understand the nature of the activities I will participate in and the associated risks. I voluntarily accept these risks along with any and all similar risks.

I understand that the proper use and wear of safety equipment can greatly reduce the risk of injury. I agree to wear and/or use appropriate safety equipment as directed by law or the OA staff.

I understand that this activity may be physically strenuous and requires a certain level of physical fitness. I am in good physical condition, can meet the rigors of this event, and have not been advised otherwise by a physician. I assume the risks of any medical conditions I may have.

I hereby consent to receive all first aid and/or medical treatment which may be reasonably deemed necessary as a result of accident, injury, and/or illness.

I agree to use all provided equipment and supplies as intended and instructed. I also understand that I may be held responsible for the repair or replacement of any equipment, supplies, or facilities that are lost or damaged as a result of my participation in this event.

I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating in this event, and agree to bear any extra costs myself.

I agree that I understand the potential risks associated with this activity and voluntarily accept them. I also acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during my participation in this activity, or travel to or from it, I may be found by a court of law to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against the company, associates, staff, volunteers, representatives, and agents on the basis of any claim from which I have released them herein.

I have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. I have read and understood it, and I agree to be bound by its terms.
